January 11 Film Series at Litchfield Community Center

 

On January 11, the Transition Litchfield film series will show and discuss Working the Land,. The Story of Connecticut Agriculture.

Please join Transition Litchfield at the Litchfield Community Center at 421 Bantam Road for social time and refreshments at 6:30 PM, film showing at 7:00, and discussion afterwards.  With narrator Sam Waterston, this documentary film tells the story of Connecticut agriculture from its earliest history to its present day diversity, and explores trends affecting farming and the public policy that shapes its future.  It visits Connecticut farms and the farmers who work the land.

The film and discussion afterward will offer food for thought about how our community will be able to address the growing need for locally produced food.
