Enjoy the Autumn Colors on Your Bicycle
White Memorial, Ceder Classroom
Wednesday October 24, 2012 at 7:00 p.m.
Join your neighbors for refreshments at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free.
It doesn’t require a flashy new bike to enjoy the autumn colors, the one hanging in your garage will be just fine. Avery Jenkins, League of American Bicyclists Trainer, and other local cyclists will demonstrate how to “Do It Yourself” by properly inflating tires, change a flat tire in a jiffy, and lube a bicycle chain so that you can cycle around town enjoying all that autumn has to offer.
A short film will be shown to inspire you and show you the rules of the road as a cyclist at the White Memorial Conservation Center in the A. B. Ceder Classroom on Wednesday October 24, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. Join your neighbors for refreshments at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free. We hope to encourage a conversation that inspires you to jump on the bike or walk around town more than once this year.
Enjoy your neighborhood at a slower pace, get some exercise, and maybe stop into one of our local businesses by riding your bike to get there. Who knows maybe you’ll see one of your neighbors along the way and you can talk for a while. Bicycling and walking brings a community together.
This program is cosponsored by Litchfield Community Greenway and Transition Litchfield. Litchfield Community Greenway will provide an update on recent developments.
Transition Litchfield builds awareness about the long term health of our community with inclusive conversations about building local resilience and sustainability.
