My family and I just moved to CT this January, from LI, NY. Last year I managed a local, organic CSA and I was very excited to learn about a Transition Town movement going on in Litchfield (I’m in Warren, currently).
My goal is to network with other people interested in sustainable living to create community resources, such as a community farm, sustainable community building networks, and sustainable education networks. This seems very in line with the work you are doing.
I am in the middle of reading Richard Heinberg’s “A New Covenant with Nature” and got the info for your organization through a link on his website to Transition Town US.
I am going to attend your showing of “Dirt” this month, so I hope to meet you all then.
Thank you for the work you’re doing!!
I am a member of the Transition Litchfield intiating group. I have a small CSA in East Litchfield and look forward to meeting you at Dirt!
Jenn. Transition Litchfield folks will be getting together for supper and a movie on Sept 28. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like to join us.
I’m wondering when the Grange usually meets? I would like to discuss with someone your food coop. Our food coop might possibly merge with yours if it meets all our needs.
We meet on the second Thursday at 6:30. April meeting will be at the Grange.
Food co-ops are close to the hearts of several of our members. Alicia North and Rich Grinvalski in particular. The Grange meets on the 14th of April at 6:30 at the Grange building next to the Litchfield Ford. Hope you can come
